LFC Forum Support Posts: 1,128 Group: Support Member #5 Joined: October 30, 2008	Liverpool Football Club co-owner Tom Hicks is sure that the club's proposed new Ł350m stadium will be built once the global money crisis has stabilized. Construction on the new site in Stanley Park, next to the current Anfield Stadium, was stopped last year in August 2008 due to the financial problems going on world wide. "We've spent lots of money and we have a fully designed stadium," said Hicks. "We have every permit in place, the council's approval, everything is done. Certainly it will happen." He added: "When we get to the point where the global market settles down, we can bring pieces together to finance the stadium. "I don't know about the dates because of the global financial markets, but I know the markets will settle down and get better." Hicks bought Liverpool Football Club in 2007 with his friend George Gillett Jr. and they both wrote off Ł10m by ditching existing plans to replace Anfield so the architects from his native city of Texas could design a new stadium in Stanley Park. It is believed to hold around 60,000 fans, currently 15,000 more than what Anfield holds now, with more ways to generate commercial revenues. lfctalk.com
